Greg and Trish

There is no graceful way to acknowledge that this blog has been woefully neglected in the past month and a half. Hopefully the simple explanation, “I have a life,” will suffice.
Waiting to Look
A side note before we get too far into these pictures is, I don’t enjoy doing people pictures in overcast conditions. Some photographers rave about cloudy days and how they don’t have to deal with harsh shadows. I find cloudy light flat and boring. I would much rather have sunshine and look for some open shade and have a nice, warm, directional light with pop that makes nice catch lights. You have so much more control over the feel of the picture. That having been said, I would love to be argued with. What is your experience?
The Bride and Groom
The Bridal Party
I took the last two by putting the camera on my monopod and setting the 2-sec timer and holding it above my head. No tree climbing necessary.
The Receiving Line
Now this is light I could get excited about. Too bad the sun wasn’t out the entire day.
Off to the Honeymoon

Rock on! ’bout time you posted! Sweet shots, btw.
btw, you might want to change your tagline from XT to 40D.
Hey,
My sister came across you site the other night and told me to take a look at it. I really like the one were you had your camera on the monopod! Nice colors!
I tried leaving you a comment last night on your umbrella post but it didn’t post. I was trying to say: I don’t know what wireless remote your using but take a look at this. How much of this is true? I dont know….

Have a good one!

oh, well now I look and see it is there
Oh i agree with your opinion about cloudy weather. Actually, I enjoy overcast days fun to shoot nature… flowers and such… but ppl? No way! I must have catchlights…
btw… props to your pics. Seriously.
My favourites are # 5 and 7.
Great pictures - but I’m still waiting on Loren and Ruthie’s pictures. I’m looking into getting a Canon xti - would that be a good choice?
Hmmm, maybe that’s why I’m having that problem with pictures that don’t “pop.”
