Loren and Ruthie

I was privileged to do their engagements as well.

Other random notes on the wedding are:

I recently lost a 2 gb card and I was worried about running out of room so I was shooting jpg some of time. I am determined never to have to shoot jpg for a wedding again. Shooting dark tuxes and white dresses at such a frenetic pace, makes for lots of messed up exposures.

I got to shoot with a Nikon D2x a while. Other than the fact that the menu/button system is completely counter-intuitive and it was a Nikon, it had some nice glass on the front of it. The 70-200 2.8 VR.

I wish we would have had more time to shoot formals.

I have never been so excited about light for portraiture work as I was the morning of their wedding. It was a little darkish in the woods so I was shooting at 1000-1600 range to get a good exposure on the people. The 40D has significantly better performance at 1600 than the XT.

Those two shots you did with the brick building in the background are awesome! Love the light in the woods as well.

Hey, you have some great stuff there. I’ll be looking forward to seeing more. The light on those is great.

Oh, cool…more weddings. I like the “little brides” pictures. They aren’t posed, are they? Also, the park and chapel make for some incredible backgrounds.
As far as your last post…I like the first picture of the bride with her bridesmaids. The arrangement is cute, and it’s just a very nice picture. Good job!

“Maybe” more pictures? I’ll be very disappointed if these are the only ones…

You did an amazing job! The lighting adds such beauty and a mystical touch to the pictures, wow.

Lovely lovely. I love #5. The only thing that bothers me is that her face is a little more blown-out than his. #6 is beautiful! I love the deep tones as well as the repetative texture. I wish it was a little more centered. My eye is just pulled to the upper right hand corner, some small distractions there. The first ‘Little Brides’ picture is the cutest! If you do an albun make SURE that gets in there!
