The middle one might be my favorite image from the trip.
These were taken at a Hmong (pronounced ‘Mong’) village in Laos. After lunchtime, we entered the village of thatch to experience people. As the afternoon wore on, the team found things to occupy themselves. One or two taught an entranced group of children English songs, another bent over a Laos phrasebook with a young lady, learning the language, while I was content to play with the children who weren’t interested in singing. As the sun set, I began to take pictures of the open, gracious people around me.
