Lao Portraits

Very quickly into the trip, I determined to not let my self-consciousness hinder my pictures of the Laos people. Usually all it took was a smile and raised eyebrows to get permission. It was quite rewarding to be able to take my time to capture what I wanted, rather than hastily shooting from afar. The very last one doesn’t quite fit with the rest, being a candid.

I think my favorite is “A Tuk-Tuk Driver”, but I doubt all of you will agree. Let me know!
