Critiques more than welcome, as usual.
A food distributer in Sarasota, Florida wants me to come down and spend at least two days shooting some of their products. So, I thought I should develop some semblance of competence in food photography. My dear friends, having expertise in the photography has benefits, but even I didn’t realize that they might include trips to Florida and a possible day at the beach.
I shot this by using a gridspot on flash, behind and to the left of the setup. A general rule of food photography seems to shoot for as much texture as possible. The gridspot, or simply called a grid, tightened the spread of the flash to give a harder light behind the food and therefore, reveal more texture. Thanks Nic, for your tips.
